Default Thoughts On The LBSRA Holiday Giveaway

Although its not yet over, i would like people to post ehyre thoguhts on our free runs etc.
This is not a place for predijucesagainst us and please no flaming.
Please do not make your opinion based on getting items or not... post it on how fun the event was and about the runs mostly...

Killer Toast is rather generous with his gift of 1g. I gave him some ale, though.

I'm giving away ale, by the way.

Killer Toast is a Santa fraud! I just asked him for world peace and he said he'd make it happen. 10 seconds later before I left a fight broke out on someone cutting in line.

Default Just what did (1) Santa have in his bag?

Merry Christmas from Me No Fat

This was very good fun! I had a great time from 4-7pm CST then I sadly had to go to work. I just wanted to share with you all the gifts that I gave out. I hope you were lucky enough to get something from one of the LBS members. We really are a fun guild. Yes...I think we may have underestimated the turn out a bit. We were doing non stop runs to Droks and ascension for the entire time I was on. It was almost impossible to find a runner from LBS that wasn't giving gifts or waiting on a 2nd runner (speed and assurance of 1 spawn) in Int D2.

We had a great turnout. There were a couple of hicups through Lomars but not many. I think when I left we were running at 98% success through Lomars and that is nothing to shake your head at. If we do this next year I think we will cut the event down a few hours. Seven hours was a little ambitious.

Well here is a sneak peak in this santas bag o' toys

Default Approx 1 Million Gold Given

I Think we have given out Approx 1million gold or more tonight i may be off by 100k or so either way, i know 2 of our members gave over 30 ecto each and a significant amount of cash with that as well, i gave roughly 150k in ecto, shards, gold. And then taking into account all the gold weapons, and every other members individual contributions (which im not fully aware of, there was so much going on at once), and all the free runs (yes some people ran there asses off tonight - AND THEY STILL ARE DOING THEM!)

It is very safe to say this was a huge success for an event and im very happy that i was able to take part. I enjoyed playing little games with people and it was good to have a laugh with people, 1 or 2 idiots as expected, and some people who chase u all day opening trade, but it was still fun.

Sorry to those individuals who took part in my queue and acted normally and didnt get anything cause of other idiots.

I came back when it was wrapping up and Got a Steel Key lol.

Bee was in the process of giving out the last of that stuff for the profession contests (an unid gold eternal shield I beleive), and the rest were giving out ale and keys.

I gave away a Dye Remover and he turned around and gave it as a prize in Scion says. Then I gave away some piles of Glittering Dust, and Charr hides, and ended my stay by giving away the Piken Sqaure Longsword (the one that looks like a cystiline)

Yes, i ran out of items and was tired of people non stop opening trade with me so i started giving out starter elemental rods. But, i must say, since i am the best player in guild wars those rods customized to me will be worth over 100k soon!

Not sure what the situation was, but everytime I tried to add my self to a LBS group I kept getting rejected. There was enough room for me in the group but I was never added. If the members I was trying to group with were not running, they didnt tell me. They simply either let me sit there with an invitation waiting, or rejected me. I finally did get my run, but not by LBS. Anyway, I did enjoy watching people take part in the games and the dancing everywhere. So it was not a complete loss, well i got my run, so not a loss at all. Just wish those LBS I tried to invite had said something to me.

Merry Christmas!!!
